Famous boxing fighters have different predictions of “The Rematch” between Juan Manuel Marquez (50-5-1, 37 KOs) and Juan Diaz (35-3, 17 KOs) in Las Vegas.

However, it came out from the bet and predictions that the lightweight world champion Marquez gained a bigger advantage because of defeating Diaz during their first bout.

At first during the weigh-in, many were astonished of the condition of “Dinamita,” especially that few of the fans went to the venue at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Even so, few of the boxing observers kept speculating that “Baby Bull” might record an upset win and recover from the rematch.

The future hall of famer Shane Mosley and BJ Flores himself were confident enough that Marquez will still win the fight.

MEXICO – Undefeated welterweight Danny Garcia (18-0, 12 KOs) from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was exalted as the new champion after Jorge Romero (17-3, 15 KOs) from Mexico was knocked out in the ninth round of their fight in the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Garcia dominated the first four (4) rounds but Romero have recovered from the fifth round until the eighth.

Romero pressurized Garcia through his solid shots until he got a cut on his right eyebrow.

But the situation changed when Garcia have connected a strong left which caused Romero to fall down on the canvas.

He stood up but he was obviously dizzy.

Garcia took advantage of it and thrown a lot of punches in which the opponent didn’t manage to counter until the referee stopped the fight.

TEHRAN, Iran – There had been an additional number of Wounded persons after two (2) consecutive earthquakes which hit Iran earlier this morning.

According to the official state radio, it had already increased to 274 wounded persons of the said tremor.

The center of magnitude 5.7 earthquake was recorded at 7 kilometers from Torbat-e-Heydariyeh City.

After this, magnitude 5.8 tremor was also felt in Kerman region.

Because the residents of the said city were frightened from the aftershocks, they slept along the streets.

It was already found out that Iran almost have earthquakes everyday but the dreadful tremor happened last 2003 wherein 30,000 persons have perished.

LAS VEGAS – If how prepared WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez and Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz for their upcoming fight this Saturday, the result was already seen during their official weigh-in.

Just after their official weigh-in, both boxers have passed through the scheduled weigh-in for their rematch.

Marquez was lighter with one and a half (1 1/2) pounds in his 133.5 pounds while Baby Bull was exactly 135 pounds.

Besides the Marquez-Diaz fight, one of the expected bouts was the come back boxing scene of former lightweight champion Joel Casamayor, who will be fighting against Robert Guererro.

Casamayor weighted 138 pounds while Guerrero was at 138.5 pounds.

Casamayor was defeated by Marquez before for their Ring Magazine lightweight title.

Jorge Linares will also be fighting against Rocky Juares.

If remembered at first, Marquez and Diaz have fought last 2008 wherein Dinamita knocked out Diaz within eight (8) rounds.

LOS ANGELES – The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) will set a special hearing if former three-time welterweight champion Antonio Margarito will get back his boxing license.

The hearing will be done on August 18, after Margarito have also appealed for his upcoming fight with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

The commissioners have approved the case hearing of the Mexican-American fighter.

Before this, Top Rank Promotions President Bob Arum was confident enough that Tijuana Tornado’s appeal will be favorably accepted.

To remember, CSAC have suspended Margarito together with his trainer Javier Capetillo after it was found out that a tenacious material was placed in his hand wrap during his fight against WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley.

LAS VEGAS – Former pound-for-pound king and undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. is facing a new case today.

This was after the said boxer have failed to pay the rent of the house for his promotional company amounting to $62,000.

Based from the famous boxer’s Target Date Fund (TDF) Investment, he signed the said rent last July 2008 for the Mayweather Promotions which costs $10,800 each month within three (3) months.

To remember, Manny Pacquiao have also filed a defamation case against Mayweather Jr. last 2009 because of his accusation of using steroids.

Aside from this, another case was filed against the boxer for non-payment of legal services and failure to pay his monthly payment of his 2007 Mercedes Maybach 57S series which costs $9,000.

PARIS, France – The three (3) clerks of the US Embassy in France who were victims of poisoning, are currently being treated.

According to the report, they were poisoned when smelling the opened letter.

Today, it wasn’t confirmed yet if how serious the condition is of the said employees and what was the cause of poisoning.

The spokesperson of the US Embassy in France haven’t taken out any announcement yet.

KABUL, Afghanistan – Three (3) soldiers of America died in a new explosion in Afghanistan.

As of this month only, it had already increased to sixty-three (63) soldiers of the United States who perished in Kabul.

This was the “deadliest month” for the US for nine (9) years of war in Afghanistan.

According to NATO, the three (3) died in different explosions in Afghanistan.

America and NATO have warned, that the death continues to increase for fighting in Afghanistan especially today that the war have come to an end, particularly in Helmand and Kandahar.

The said provinces were Taliban’s fortress.

JERUSALEM, Israel – The Ashkelon city of Israel was suddenly waken up by a rocket.

According to the Israeli Defense Forces, the Palestine militants have showered Ashkelon with a rocket but there were no damages and casualties.

It was already known that Ashkelon was almost ten (10) kilometers away from the borders of Israel and Gaza and frequently a target of rocket attack from Gaza.
