A total of one hundred sixty (160) international and domestic flights in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were affected due to devastation of the typhoon Basyang.

Although NAIA Public Information Officer-in-Charge Connie Bungag was certain beforehand that all operations in the airport are back to normal, but there are only few arrival flights which have been recorded.

Few passengers in the NAIA domestic airport, have only departed this afternoon after six (6) hours of waiting in the airport.

Also included in the cancelled flights earlier are the local flights of ZestAir and SeaAir.

It was known that it had already reached to seventy-eight (78) flights were affected yesterday until last night because of the devastation of the typhoon.

Philippine Airline corporate communications acting-head Jonathan Gesmundo said that few of their flights were diverted and expected to land hopefully in NAIA.

Including the flights from Zamboanga, Kalibo and Puerto Prinsesa, and also the international flights from Vancouver and Los Angeles.

Few delayed arrival of the international flights were recorded, including the PR flight 506 and the flight of the Continental Micronesia which came from Guam and Cathay Pacific Airways which also came from Hong Kong.

In the flight advisory number nine (9) of Manila International Airport Authority, the affected flights due to typhoon Basyang were announced earlier at around 7:00 pm in the evening which inflated to one hundred sixty (160) flights.

It had reached to eighty-five (85) cancelled flights wherein eighty-one (81) domestic flights from terminal 2 and 3.

Sixty-nine (69) of which were recorded delayed to arrive and departed from NAIA including sixteen (16) international flights and fifty-three (53) domestic flights. However at this time, they had already arrived and departed from the airport.
