This is in connection with Obama’s celebration of the Disabilities Act for twenty (20) years past wherein he signed the new proposal.

“It grew when you realized you were not alone, it became a massive wave of bottom-up change that swept across the country as you refused to accept the world as it was and when you were told don’t try, you can’t, you responded with that age-old American creed,’ Yes we can!'” Obama said.

It was said that there will be lot of persons who will gather in the White House south lawn together with celebrity Marlee Matlin and singer Patty Labelle.

The 27-year old Cox was included in the small group who became Obama’s private audience in affixing his signature.

If remembered, the said Fil-Am was known because of her capability to fly a plane even if she was born with no both hands. She even know how to drive a car.

Aside of being a pilot, Jessica also works as a motivational speaker.

After her meeting with Obama, she would then watch a show.

“I’ll be there giving presentations and meeting celebrities like Harrison Ford and (Captain Chesley) “Sully” Sullenberger and John Travolta whose first airplane he ever owned was an Air Coupe, which is the airplane I fly, so I’m looking forward to meeting him,” cox added.

Cox was the second of three (3) siblings who were born in Arizona of an American father, who was a retired music teacher and a Filipino mother Inez.

Cox have mentioned it first that her role model was her mother, who was a nurse and left Samar at the age of twenty-two (22) and went towards America with no acquaintance to anyone.

Besides the first person who was given a pilot license, she was also a double black belter in taekwondo and an active swimmer.

She was also the first person with no hands, who was given a black belt by the American Taekwando Association.

Besides having no hands, she can also type twenty-five (25) words in a computer within one (1) minute, blow dry her hair, do laundry, put makeup and contact lenses like a normal person, during her childhood she had gymnastics, swimming, and dancing.
